Description

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources teamed up with Clemson's graduate program to design and build a safe lookout platform for users to enjoy at sassafras mountain. Located along the Appalachian trail and offering views into 4 states on a clear day, the lookout was designed and constructed on campus and then re-assembled on site in a few days. Located 3563' above elevation in the Appalachian mountains, this lookout sits on the highest point in South Carolina.
