Situated in Mechanicsville, one of Atlanta’s first neighborhoods dating back to the 1870’s, this original bungalow had fallen into dis-repair. Working with the client and the city, the home was fully restored with all modern finishes and technologies but kept its authentic style. The neighborhood originally got its name after the many “mechanics” and their families that called it home. These “mechanics” were the heart and soul of the once thriving railroad industry in downtown Atlanta.
